ST GEORGE’S, Grenada: Finton De Bourg, CEO of Capital Bank Grenada International Limited, has been formally charged with three counts of fraudulent breach of trust. Curacao refinery to restart unit next week
WILLEMSTAD, Curacoa (Reuters): Curacao's 320,000 barrel per day Isla oil refinery will restart its catalytic cracking unit as early as next Wednesday, a refinery official told Reuters on Thursday. Isla is operated by Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA. The refinery's cat cracker went offline last month.

New US$80 million fibre-optic cable system for Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica (JIS): A sub-sea fibre-optic cable system valued at some US$80 million, which links Jamaica to South America and the United States, was launched on Wednesday by Flow Jamaica at its Cable Station at Morant Point, St Thomas. The new Cable Station was also commissioned into service.
