Treatment Of Toenail Fungus
A few years ago I had developed a toenail fungus. I got this because I was an athlete who use to use his sweaty running shoes over and over again before they had the chance to dry out. Unfortunately this silly mistake led me to develop my toenail fungus. For the next year or so I went in and out of trying to treat it with any remedy available. Here I discuss the different methods I used to treat my fungus.
How did you catch your toenail fungus? Toenail fungus can develop for a variety of reasons. In my case I neglected wearing dry running shoes which exposed my toes to foul moisture. Usually it is the case that toenail fungus develops for other people in a similar environment. Places such as a locker room, public pool area, or even a sauna can increase your chances of infection.

Another common way to get a toenail fungus infection is by cutting your nails too short. Don’t feel bad the majority of people do. However, in the future make sure you avoid doing this. Cutting your nails too short can cause minor cuts on the skin leaving your toe open for increased chances of infection.
Treating toenail fungus can be done in a variety of ways. One way is to treat your toenail fungus with Vick’s Vapor Rub. This didn’t work at all for me. Apparently it only works in the mildest of cases. I wouldn’t recommend this treatment.
Tea tee oil is another common remedy. Tea tree oil is an anti fungus extract from plants that they use to combat fungus. Unfortunately I found this treatment on its own ineffective.
Prescription drugs for treating fungus infection are dangerous. They can cause liver damage and possible liver failure resulting in death. I do not recommend this treatment method because it is also expensive and results seem to be moderate.
Soaking your feet in beer believe it or not can actually help. To do this soak your feet in regular beer for 30 minutes a day. I actually never got around to this treatment but I’ve read that its been effective in some other cases.
