Home Treatment For Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are referred to as swollen veins that are located in the anal canal and home treatment of hemorrhoids has been formulated. For some, this condition can be very painful but not to the extent of a serious case. There are two kinds of hemorrhoids which are internal and external hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids happens when the swelling occurs inside the canal and when swelling happens near the anus opening then it is referred to as external hemorrhoids.

The known home treatment of hemorrhoids:

  1. If you want to use a pain reliever that can be bought over-the-counter, look for those that are not nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like Tylenol.
  2. Most home treatment of hemorrhoids concentrates on prevention. One of which is to drink plenty of water. This helps in regular bowel movement and loosens the bowel so there is no need to push when moving bowel.
  3. Do not make hemorrhoids worst by not using any soap that contains perfumes or dyes. Also, when finished moving bowel do not rub the anal, just wash it with water.
  4. To relieve pain, apply ice on the anal area after every ten minutes. Then apply warm compress on the anal for an additional 10-20 minutes. Also apply moist heat like warm towels for several times daily.
  5. Also take a sitz bath as much as possible. Do it by filling the bath tub with warm water that is enough to cover the anal area. It is better to have a sitz bath after moving your bowel. Stay in the bath tub for around 15 minutes or until the water is warm.

Home treatment of hemorrhoids are said to be safer as a form of treatment. This also applies to any other kind of illness that is not that serious.
