Cure Of Bladder Infections Without Prescription
Bladder Infections Cures-Options
There are various bladder infections cures which can be used to both relieve pain and kill off the bacteria. In the past it was routine for doctors to give out prescriptions for antibiotics as bladder infections cures but this is not done as often now due to widespread concern about antibiotic resistance.
This has prompted the use of various alternative methods to cure a bladder infection, including self-help measures you can try at home. You can get details of various self help bladder infections cures below.
There are various cures you can buy from pharmacies over the counter and although these can be useful in providing symptomatic relief, they rarely kill off the bacteria. They can also be very expensive and in my own experience have not been particularly useful.
It is not usually advisable to leave the bladder infection to “take its own course” it has been shown that in all but the mildest of infections, the bacteria will often multiply further causing a severe infection which may migrate to the kidneys, causing a kidney infection which requires prompt medical attention.
Bladder Infections Cures You Can Try At Home
* Take a mild painkiller-this should take the edge off the pain
* Use a heat pad or hot water bottle on the abdomen-the warmth will radiate around the painful area giving some pain relief
* Drink a couple of glasses of cranberry juice-it has been shown that craberry juice contains a component which prevents bacteria sticking to the bladder walls and is therefore flushed out
* Drink plenty of water-around 8 glasses per day is ideal. This can help flush out bacteria and coupled with drinking cranberry juice, this is essential
* Wear cotton underpants-synthetic underpants can prevent air circulation around the vaginal area, causing the area to become warm and moist providing ideal conditions for the growth of bacteria
* Take a vitamin C supplement-this can help build up the immune system, fighting off the bacteria
* Avoid caffeine and alcohol-both are irritants
* Do not used perfumed products in the bath or shower
These self-help bladder infections cures will help give some relief although in all but the mildest of cases, will not provide a surefire cure.
