1. Sitz baths can be helpful for hemorrhoid relief. Soak your bottom in warm water for 10-20 minutes. You can do this in a normal bathtub or a special sitz bathtub. Only your butt and feet should get wet if you try this remedy in a normal bathtub. Taking a sitz bath 3-4 times per day can help with pain relief.
2. Using soft toilet paper instead of hard scratchy toilet paper can help by not irritating your hemorrhoids.
3. Not straining when trying to pass a bowel movement. If you strain, you can make your hemorrhoidal condition worse.
4. Sitting for extended periods of time isn’t great, as you’re putting pressure on your hemorrhoids. That’s why it feels so uncomfortable when you sit down. Try moving around every hour if you have to sit down for long periods of time.
5. Eat more fiber. Constipation can cause hemorrhoids. When you’re constipated, you strain on the toilet, which causes your hemorrhoidal condition. Eating plenty of fiber found in fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains can really help in getting rid of hemorrhoids, but you need to keep it up.
6. Stop drinking soda and start drinking plain water instead.
7. Start exercising regularly for overall good health and to kickstart a sluggish system. Even 20 minutes of daily walking can really help.
