Garlic and Olive Oil Treatment.

You are going to need 4 Large Tablespoons of garlic. Some water some olive oil enough to fully cover the bottom of a sauce pan chop up some onion let it simmer (stir occasionally) until the garlic looks chunky and dry then strain the juice into a bowl or cup and use an eye dropper or syringe and put it into your ear, hold your head sideways for about 5-10 min. Then tilt your head and let the remaining juice come out. You can also place a cotton ball in the ear.

Lemon Juice Treatment

For really bad ear aches/infections squeeze lemon juice in your ear, keep it in for a few seconds, then let it drain out. I usually place a towel or cotton ball over the ear because this gets pretty sticky! The lemon helps to change the Ph levels in your ear. The bacteria is a base, and if you add the lemon, which is an acid, it neutralizes the Ph levels in your ear so that the bacteria cannot live in there!

Onion Treatment

Warm grated onion slightly in microwave, and drop a few drops of juice into ear with dropper. I used this with both my children when they were infants and it worked immediately! The stopped crying and were able to sleep!

Garlic, Oil and Colloidal Silver Treatment

Put few drops of garlic juice into the infected ear. Use blow dryer from about 12 to 15 inches from your head, this will remove any water trapped in the Eustachian tube. Put some olive oil on the warm spoon; put 2 to 3 drops of this in each ear. Put few drops of lobelia extract into the infected ear and rub it gently. Wash your ear using colloidal silver, it is a natural antibiotic. Slightly warm one teaspoon of juice of the mango leaf and put it into the infected ear drop by drop.

How Ear Infections Occur
Research shows that children may get ear infections as a result of improper drainage of the deep neck lymphatics. Here’s a summary of the nutrients that I use with my patients:

Ear Infection Cure 1: Vitamin C

I recommend my adult patients start on at least 3000 – 5000 mg of vitamin C a day to fight off infection. In young children (less than 2 years old) 1000 mg a day will suffice. For older children about 2000 mg works well.

Everyones requirements for vitamin C are unique so I suggest you start taking 500 mg of vitamin C every hour until your stools become a little watery or loose. When your stools become loose it means that your body is saturated with vitamin C. Any excess is excreted in the urine and stools. This point is called “Bowel tolerance” and is when vitamin C is helping your immune system most efficiently.

Going to just below your bowel tolerance every day should be adhered to until the infection is cleared from your body. Depending on the severity of the infection, this can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week or more. If your vitamin C intake is too low, you may not see improvements in your symptoms.

Ear Infection Cure 2: Zinc

Zinc stimulates your white blood cells and antibody production to fight off infections. This mineral is also a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps relieve the pain of sore ears, inflamed throat and swollen glands that are often present with ear problems.

For adults I suggest you start with 60 – 90 mg of elemental zinc a day. For young children I use 30 mg a day, for older kids 60 mg a day. If you also have a sore throat then dissolve a zinc lozenge in your mouth. A sore throat clears up faster when it has direct contact with zinc

Ear Infection Cure 3: Vitamin A

Vitamin A and its precursor beta-carotene enhance immunity. Vitamin A has been shown to lower the rate of infections.

For immune support, I recommend 10,000 IU of vitamin A or 15 mg of beta-carotene a day. For young children about 2500 IU a day, and for older children 5000 IU a day of vitamin A is sufficient.

Vitamin A should not be taken in large amounts by pregnant women as higher amounts are linked to an increased risk of birth defects.

Other nutrients

Optional but recommended nutrients I also dispense to my patients are vitamin E, selenium and the B complex.

Ear Infection Cure 4: Vitamin E

Vitamin E helps immune function and is a powerful antioxidant. It is beneficial against both bacteria and viruses. I suggest at least 200 mg a day. If you have high blood pressure, check with your doctor first.

Selenium is great to take alongside vitamin E, as they enhance each others absorption. It is a good immune booster. For adults take at 100 mg a day.

Common ear infection types

There are many types of infections in the ear but the most common type is known as otitis media. Otitis media is further divided into the acute phase and the chronic phase. Acute otitis media is a short painful episode while chronic otitis media either comes and goes or it lasts for a very long time. Otitis externa is a fairly common infection of the ear canal known as swimmer’s ear. Swimmer’s ear may be acute or chronic. If the otitis externa or swimmer’s ear infection spreads from the outer ear into the bones and cartilage at the base of the skull it’s known as malignant otitis externa. The condition is rare and is usually caused by the growth of hard to treat bacteria. Otitis media, in addition to having acute and chronic form also has the form where there is fluid in the middle ear but not necessarily infection. This type is known as otitis media with effusion or OME.

Risk Factors for ear infections

Simply put, anything that causes reduction in the size of the eustachian tube makes a child a candidate for an ear infection. Blocked eustachian tubes can be caused by infections due to colds or flu, allergies, tobacco smoke either direct or second hand. Children who have been breast are less at risk to get ear infections. Recent ear infections or recent illness of any type lowers the resistance level of the body and makes it more difficult to fight off infection. Children in large day care settings tend to have more ear infections. Children who use a pacifier positively often find themselves at risk.

Symptoms of ear infections

OME is characterized by no symptoms other than a feeling of fullness in the ears and muffled sound or even hearing loss. General symptoms for otitis will vary, depending on whether it is acute or chronic. Typically symptoms will include some or all of the following. Diarrhea, nausea, malaise, irritability, chills, fever, ear noise or buzzing, hearing loss, drainage from the ear, itching or other irritants in the ear or ear canal, and of course earache.

Treatment for ear infections

In most cases some form of antibiotic will be given to fight the buildup of bacteria in the middle ear. In addition, if there is irritation or itching in the ear canal, antibiotic drops or oils may be used there. For chronic ear infection, care must be taken to complete the full dosage of antibiotics in order to knock out the infection. Otherwise, the infection tends to return again and again. Recurrent infections usually result when there are frequent colds or flu.

Tubes

If a child suffers bout after bout of infection in the middle ear and doesn’t seem to be outgrowing the condition, many medical specialists will do a procedure known as a bilateral myringotomy and tubes or BMT. During this surgery, often performed right in the specialists office, small tubes called tympanostomy tubes are inserted into the eardrums. This provides ventilation of the space behind the eardrum. The pressure is equalized in the middle ear so that it is the same as atmosphere pressure. There will be drainage of the bacteria laden fluid into the back of the throat where it is swallowed.

Hearing Loss

Ear infections that are chronic or those that don’t clear up quickly can impact the speech of a child. If hearing loss occurs temporarily during the time when speech is first being learned and understood it can cause speech disability which. If the chronic infections result in long term damage to the middle ear or cause scarring of the ear drum to the point where hearing disability occurs, the child’s entire life may be affected.

Cure infection.

This danger is an ear infection, and it can be caused by water entering the ear. Babies can get ear infection by the water when you give them a bath or if they go swimming in the pool. An ear infection is a bad thing to have. It hurts you and when it gets red, it can scar the inside of your ear and hurt your eardrum. It can also affect their hearing. Also, if they have it a lot, tubs will be put in the ears so the fluid will come out, and so it can get better.

If you swim in infected water and you do not know it, the bacteria will enter your hear and reason an infection also. If they get an ear infection, you need to take them to a hospital and they will get you medicine for it to get rid of the problem. Ear infections can do a lot to a baby. They will be tired and will not act like themselves by lying around. In addition to their lethargic behavior, they will not want to do nothing all day. It will make you worry about them. When you get the medicine for them, it will take all day sometimes but they will get better. Kids are the most blessed thing in your life so take care of them and keep them safe from this kind of thing.
